How do I upgrade from a legacy SweetHawk app to the new version?

Short answer

Install the new version alongside your legacy app, bring your setup across, then disable the old version. Survey, Notify and Field Conditions have a migration assistant. Approve, Tasks & Subtickets, Recurring Tickets and Future Tickets import from a CSV. Timers, Calendar and Reminders are set up fresh in the new app. See what's new in every app.

How to move across

  1. Install the new version from the app's page on this site, for example Timers. Enter your Zendesk subdomain, approve the install, and use the code NOCC at checkout for a free trial.
  2. Keep the legacy version running while you move, so your existing workflows keep working.
  3. Bring your setup across. Use the migration assistant in the legacy app, or export a CSV and choose Actions > Import from CSV in the new one. For Tasks & Subtickets and Recurring Tickets, import ticket templates first.
  4. Switch it on in the new app. Set who can use anything you imported, connect your triggers to the new app, and for Recurring Tickets turn off the legacy schedules before you enable the new ones. Each app's guide below has the details.
  5. Once everything's moved and anything already scheduled in the old app has finished, such as future tickets, reminders and calendar events, disable the old version.

Every SweetHawk app has been rebuilt, and new features only go into the new versions. Each app's upgrade guide shows what you'll get and walks through the move step by step:

  • Approve: import your approval definitions from a CSV.
  • Tasks & Subtickets: import ticket templates, then task lists, from a CSV.
  • Timers: import your schedules, set up workflows, then recreate your timers.
  • Survey: use the migration assistant in the legacy app.
  • Field Rules: use the migration assistant in Field Conditions.
  • Notify: use the migration assistant in the legacy app.
  • Recurring Tickets: import ticket templates, then schedules, from a CSV.
  • Future Tickets: import your ticket templates from a CSV.
  • Reminders: start creating reminders in the new app.
  • Calendar: recreate your calendars and reconnect your accounts.
