How do I schedule appointments or bookings in Zendesk?
SweetHawk Calendar is not a booking widget: customers still book through a scheduler like Calendly, Google Appointments or Microsoft Bookings on your site. That booking lands in your Google or Microsoft 365 calendar, the Calendar app syncs it, and it becomes a Zendesk ticket, created automatically or linked to an existing one, so agents see every appointment. The full setup is an advanced recipe, linked below.
How it works
- A customer books a time through your scheduler, Calendly, Google Appointments or Microsoft Bookings, on your website.
- The scheduler creates the event in your connected Google or Microsoft 365 calendar.
- The Calendar app syncs that calendar and either automatically creates a Zendesk ticket for the booking or links it to an existing ticket, pulling in the attendee, subject and time.
- Agents see every booking as a ticket in Zendesk, with the meeting details attached.
Booking widgets live on your website, not in Zendesk, so a scheduler like Calendly does the actual booking and pushes it to your Google or Microsoft calendar. The Calendar app's job is to bring those bookings into Zendesk as tickets, so nothing gets scheduled that your team cannot see. Setting it up end to end takes a few steps, so the full recipe is here:
